On Wednesday afternoon, October 13th, South Coventry was
dispatched to the scene of an ambulance vs. tree on Stone House Road (Rt.
275). Car 108 Deputy Chief Rick Landry was the first South Coventry
Officer to arrive on scene. He immediately reported three victims and
request two additional ambulances. Rescue 508 was clearing from another
call in town and was on scene very quickly. Rescue 608 was out of
service for repairs. Mansfield Rescue 517 and Columbia Rescue 505
responded to transport the additional patients. North Coventry responded
with Rescue 111, Rescue 211 and Rescue 311. Other apparatus were Rescue
308, Engine Tank 208 and Service 208. Numerous fire police assisted in
rerouting traffic while the road was closed. Thanks to all who helped a
