On Friday Evening July 23, 2004 CVFA was toned out for a
fire alarm. Car 308 was the first to arrive he reported smoke showing
and established command. He immediately added North Coventry and
Eagleville to the assignment. The first apparatus to arrive was ET208.
ET208 crew members immediately pulled a line and set up for fire
suppression. ET108 was the next apparatus to arrive. The home
owners were not at home at the time so entry was made through the front door
and interior operations began looking for the seat of the fire. There
was a heavy smoke condition inside the house. The source of the smoke
was found to be food on the stove which had been left on. The food was
removed from the house and ventilation efforts began.
