Report or Smoke Coming from building
On October 7th around 3:30 pm the South Coventry
Fire Department along with mutual aid from North Coventry and Eagleville
responded to a possible building fire on Mason street. First arriving units
found a light smoke condition coming from the eves off a small room off of what
was once the Whale Clock Factory. Hand lines were stretched to the doorway
and investigation crews entered. Apparently, the chimney was plugged and forced
the smoke back into the building and out the roof, no actual structure fire was
found. Click on the picture to view them. Special thanks to Matt
Traber (1-6)and Taffi Spenser (7-15)for their photos.
That Chief officer does realize he is wearing a Scott, doesn't he. Maybe he is confunsed a bit. JUNIOR MEMBERS... Time for a hose packing drill!! Yup, I am holding up a hand line again. Hey these taskforce tips can handle mud, right? Now isn't that a thing of beauty. Accountability at the door of an incident. This is a really old mill built somtime in the 1700's or 1800's. This had potential to be the big one. YIKES!! Can you say Really Bad wood stove. Hmmm doesn't smell like old hickory to me?? Go ahead Rescue 111 the police don't need that drivers side door. They can just buy another cruiser. Is that ET108 in front of Eagleville and North Coventry?? Rescue 107 a great truck and true work horse. Noel, what truck did you drive? Where is Tower 111??? No that is not smoke from the building, it is ET108!! Wasn't that nice of the police to move their cruise for a fire truck. They are so thougtful.
