Friday October 22, 2004 - CVFA Signal 50 Report or Smoke Coming from a garage

On Friday October 22nd South Coventry, North Coventry and Eagleville Station 107 were dispatched to the town of Coventry for report of a structure fire.  Deputy Chief Rick Landry arrived on scene and gave a report of heavy smoke showing from a single story detached garage.  ET308 out of Station 208 was the first to arrive on scene and ET208 was on scene shortly there after.  Interior attack was made by FF B. Jones and Heidi Hodgkins.  They made a quick stop and a great knock down.  The fire was located in the B-C Corner and extended to the attic space above the garage.  Ventilation was achieved by opening up the gable end vents.  A small amount of fire was found in the attic space and was quickly knocked down.  Apparatus responding ET208, ET308, R508, ET311, ET211, R211, R111 and ET107.  Thanks to all members from every department who assisted.
