Sunday March 13, 2005 - Dive Drill with Tolland County
Dive Team
On a beautiful March morning several members
of CVFA along with the Tolland County Dive Team participated in ice dive
training on Coventry Lake. Surface support personnel cut a hole in
the ice which was over 16 inches thick. 4 divers practiced circular
search patterns and tested their gear for cold weather conditions. The
dive was very successful and gave several new people the opportunity to work
with dive operations. Only one diver experienced a free flow of their
regulator which occurred without incident. Everyone did an excellent job
and the drill went off without incident. Special thanks to all who
